Types of regions[]

- There is a loading screen between each region as they represent a different server with 4 other hosts connected at its adjacent borders.
- A new Map has been launched with the latest season with an 11x11 grid with additional smaller Seas.
Portals[]
Patch 532.08 introduced a new world as well as a Portals system. Portals are used to go from one region to another.
The World - SEASON 9[]
Tip: You can toggle the map grid in-game. Open your inventory and visit the Atlas tab as shown here.
On the skyblue top left map : Rookie cove is where you start your journey and can reach the Central map by teleport on each corner.
The central map is a 9x9 grid and you can reach Africa by crossing the last east border , you can reach South America by crossing the last west border Antarctica on north, Artic on south
Some additionals maps like Tortuga , Maw waters or Cervantes Rest are accesible by progression or teleport on some locations in Central map.
Historic Map[]
The original world of ATLAS consisted of a 15 x 15 grid consisting of 225 Regions with 568 Islands to explore and colonize. With a number of updates as the seasons have progressed the total world size was reduced to an 11 x 11 grid (121 Regions), regions can be divided into four different types each with their own climate, mechanics, perils and resources.
