Types of regions
Notes
- There is a loading screen between each region as they represent a different server with 4 other hosts connected at its adjacent borders.
- A new Map has been launched with the start of Season 4 on July 4th 2020 with a 11x11 grid with 568 islands spread out over 121 regions and re-arranged temperate areas
Portals
Patch 532.08 introduced a new world as well as a portal system. Portals are used to go from one region to another.
The World
Tip: You can toggle the map grid in-game. Open your inventory and visit the Atlas tab as shown here.
Historic Map
The original world of ATLAS consisted of 121 Regions with 568 Islands to explore and colonize. Arranged in a 11 by 11 grid, regions can be divided into four different types each with there own climate, mechanics, perils, and resources.
