Leatherwings are one of the Monsters in ATLAS.

Flies around, picks you up and drops you from high and kills you.
Appearance[]
It is similar to the Pteranodon from Atlas' sister title; ARK: Survival Evolved. It does however, boast a longer beak, slightly different face features and feathers on the underbelly and in place of the crest.

Combat[]
The Leatherwing attacks by swooping out of the sky and picking up a player. The leatherwing then flies high into the sky and drops the player, usually killing them with fall damage. Hitting the Leatherwing enough while carrying a player will cause it to drop them.
Notes[]
• Can be killed with a single shot to the head from either a flintlock or a carbine, so always have either of those on you.
•Equipping a glider suit, when in areas with leatherwings. Will greatly increase your chances of survival from fall damage. Press your jump button to activate the glider suit while falling.

- Found on certain Golden Age Ruin islands.
