Dinghy's can be used as lifeboats, saving crew members from sinking ships.
They are most commonly used for transporting crew members close to islands without the need for swimming.
A Dinghy is the cheapest, slowest and least durable of all ship types in Atlas. This boat is also the only ship type, that drains your stamina while rowing. It can be destroyed with a single cannon ball. Another drawback of Dinghys is that the swimming speed of players is usually higher than the top speed of the Dinghy. It's main purpose is to be mounted on a Dinghy Ship Hangar on bigger ships. It can be used to avoid getting wet and getting Hypothermia in cold regions, or if you want to avoid sharks attacking you, when leaving your main ship. You can't place structures on it.
