Description[ | ]

Catapult is a craftable structure in ATLAS. Catapult is available for players to unlock within the Artillery Artillery discipline skill tree an need the unlocked Siege StudiesSiege Studies


Usage[ | ]

Siege weapon.

Player launch[ | ]

You can load players into the catapult and shoot them. This is not only good for battles but for exploring and transportation.

Battle[ | ]

It is currently unknown if players deal damage to structures and enemies if used as ammunition. How ever due to its long range it is possible to launch yourself into battle. This is useful to get on land fast or to enter foreign ships.

Transportation[ | ]

As you can shoot yourself with your catapult it is possible to travel fast from point to point, even while transporting goods. However you can neither shoot yourself nor be shot from the catapult if you are encumbered. But you can save yourself a good amount of time if you place two Catapult Catapult and Ship Resources Box Ship Resources Box to quickly move between these two. You can use a Zip-Line Anchor Zip-Line Anchor then to move the goods from this outpost to your base, as you can use a Zip-Line Anchor Zip-Line Anchor while being encumbered.

Exploration[ | ]

A catapult can also be useful in terms of exploration. Not only because you can boost yourself a fair amount in the air but because you can use a Glider Suit Glider Suit to scout the surroundings. So you don't have to climb up a higher place to glider around an island you can do this easily with a Catapult Catapult

A direct hit will do the following damage:

  • 525 Damage to Wood Structures
  • 88 Damage to Stone Structures
