|Common Name||Blue Whale|
|Spawns in||Tundra Waters|
Monstrous Blue Whales are only found in Tundra zones typically swimming at the surface in a circle. Avoid sailing into their path as they will damage your ship. If killed the first time, it will grant a Discovery along with a new passive that grants you a 100% Prone Speed Bonus and a 50% Crouched Speed Bonus.
Casual Blue Whales can be found anywhere on the map underwater in the open sea. They appear in herds when you go diving between 1/3 to 2/3 of the way down/up, but they have a rare spawn chance and can be hard to spot. You can try looking for their shadows on the seaground or listen for their sounds, if you dive without daylight.
Passive Sailing your ship into it will cause severe damage to your ship. Potentially worse then sailing into a Stone Structure...
All casual Blue Whales of a herd will attack you if you harm one of them, so to kill them you will need at least a diving suit(so you dont get attacked by other aggressive animals, or run out of air/freeze), a spear launcher with a good amount of ammo, and to evade as well as watching your back for other whales.
