Bears are one of the territorial Mammals in ATLAS.

Behavior

The Bear is a common animal. They are not aggressive towards players, but will fight back if attacked.

Domestication

The Bear is great when domesticated: Used for collecting high amounts of Fibre in short spaces of time as well as having a high weight capacity; making them great for building ships and transporting resources.

Taming

The Bear is tamed with Honey. It needs to be lowered to around 10-20% of its health before it can be Bola'd for around 1.5 Minutes and fed. Once the Bola timer is up the bear will regain health and the process repeats until tamed. Beware that the bear can still bite and attack you while it is Bola'd, Making a Trap or Pen to tame can make the taming process easier.

Utility

The Bear Gathers A LOT of Fibre with it's claw attack, As well as a large amount of Berries.

Combat

Climate for bears breeding is 8-27 degrees Gestation is 4 hours starting and slighlty increase if 1 male is put over multiple females Baby bears are very time consuming if not within the 8-27 degrees you will need to force feed them until they are around 30% which is approx 15 hours ingame time
